GAME TWO HEADS HOME
05/11/2014 - 9:50am

(May 11, 2014)… The East Division Finals heads to Rochester for Game Two on Saturday, May 17th. The Knighthawks will have a chance to even the series when they host the Buffalo Bandits at 7:30 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena.

“The good thing about the playoff series for us this year is that we’ve got another chance at it next week,” said Knighthawks Head Coach Mike Hasen. “There’s going to be a great crowd and we’re on our home turf.”

The Knighthawks return home where they earned an 8-1 record during the regular season. Rochester has also won its last seven home playoff games, dating back to the 2006 season. The Knighthawks’ last home playoff game was on May 4, 2013. That night, Rochester defeated the Minnesota Swarm, 12-10, in the East Division Finals.

Playoff Tickets are currently on sale at ticketmaster.com. Individual playoff tickets range in price from $17 to $22 prior to the day of the game. Game day tickets are $25 and $30. To experience the excitement of playoff lacrosse, please call (585) 454-4295.

With a win Saturday, Rochester will force a 10-minute tiebreaker game, which will be played immediately following the conclusion of Game Two to determine the winner of the playoff series. Rochester earned the second game of the series after finishing with a 14-4 record to clinch the top spot in the East Division.

“The great thing is we’ve got a chance to redeem ourselves at home,” said Knighthawks forward Dan Dawson. “We’ve worked hard all year for that.”

The winner of the East Division Finals will advance to the 2014 Champion’s Cup Finals, which will also follow the two-game series format. The Calgary Roughnecks lead the West Division Finals 1-0 after downing the Edmonton Rush 12-11 in overtime. The Champion’s Cup Finals will be announced at a later date based on time and location.
