(May 8, 2014)… The Rochester Knighthawks and Buffalo Bandits will meet in the postseason for the ninth time on Saturday night in Game One of the East Division Finals. As part of the new league playoff format, the series shifts back to Rochester form Game Two on Saturday, May 17th.

Rochester has the edge in playoff meeting, holding a 5-3 record against its thruway rivals. The two-game series should be another memorable chapter in the long history of games between the Western New York rivals.

Buffalo (8-10) broke an eight-game losing streak by defeating Toronto last Saturday, 15-13, to advance to its first division finals since the 2011 season. Rochester, who finished 14-4 during the regular season, captured its third division title in franchise history to earn a spot in the division finals for the third straight season.

During the team’s 20th season in the National Lacrosse League, the Knighthawks reached numerous team and individual milestones. Here are some numbers that illustrate the records set by the 2014 Rochester Knighthawks.
