R. THUNDER WILL NEST AT ZOOBOO
10/03/2013 - 12:17pm

(October 4, 2013)… During three weekends in October, the Rochester Knighthawks mascot will get the rare opportunity to hang out with some of his feathered friends. R. Thunder will represent the back-to-back National Lacrosse League Champions at the Seneca Park Zoo during the annual ZooBoo celebration.

R. Thunder will cruise around the Zoo, visiting with the bald eagle, red-tailed hawk and other members of his extended family, while helping kids enjoy trick-or-treating. Fans of all ages can meet the Knighthawks mascot on Sunday, October 13th from 10:00 a.m. to noon. He will make return visits to the Seneca Park Zoo at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 20th and Sunday, October 27th.

ZooBoo will feature 15 trick-or-treat stations scattered throughout the Zoo with fun trinkets and candy available at each location. Every kid will also receive a gift as they exit, and families can take advantage of the specials at Eagle's Landing Cafe, Crater Canteen and the ZooShop. The highlight of the visit to the Zoo, however, is meeting the costumed characters in a one-of-a-kind setting.

ZooBoo is scheduled from Saturday, October 12th to Sunday, October 13th; Saturday, October 19th to Sunday, October 20th, and from Saturday, October 26th to Sunday, October 27th. To learn about member and non-member admission to ZooBoo, go online to senecaparkzoo.org/ZooBoo.aspx. To purchase tickets in advance by phone, please call (585) 336-7212.

To see R. Thunder all season long, fans can purchase season tickets by calling (585) 454-4295 (HAWK) or by going online to www.knighthawks.com. Rochester will kick off its historic 20th season on Saturday, December 28th when it hosts the Minnesota Swarm at 7:30 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena.
