R. THUNDER WILL NEST AT ZOOBOO

(October 4, 2013)… During three weekends in October, the Rochester Knighthawks mascot will get the rare opportunity to hang out with some of his feathered friends. R. Thunder will represent the back-to-back National Lacrosse League Champions at the Seneca Park Zoo during the annual ZooBoo celebration.

R. Thunder will cruise around the Zoo, visiting with the bald eagle, red-tailed hawk and other members of his extended family, while helping kids enjoy trick-or-treating. Fans of all ages can meet the Knighthawks mascot on Sunday, October 13th from 10:00 a.m. to noon. He will make return visits to the Seneca Park Zoo at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 20th and Sunday, October 27th.

ZooBoo will feature 15 trick-or-treat stations scattered throughout the Zoo with fun trinkets and candy available at each location. Every kid will also receive a gift as they exit, and families can take advantage of the specials at Eagle's Landing Cafe, Crater Canteen and the ZooShop. The highlight of the visit to the Zoo, however, is meeting the costumed characters in a one-of-a-kind setting.

ZooBoo is scheduled from Saturday, October 12th to Sunday, October 13th; Saturday, October 19th to Sunday, October 20th, and from Saturday, October 26th to Sunday, October 27th.
