(September 27, 2013)… The Rochester Knighthawks unveiled their logo today to commemorate the team’s 20th season of professional lacrosse. Throughout the 2014 campaign, the Knighthawks will pay homage to former great players and memorable teams.

"The 2014 season will be memorable for two reasons. We are embarking on our historic 20th season, but – more importantly – we are beginning our drive for a league-record three straight Champion’s Cups,” said Knighthawks President Lewis Staats.

The season-long festivities will begin on Saturday, December 7th when the National Lacrosse League honors one of its all-time greats in goalie Pat O’Toole. The NLL will induct the former Knighthawks’ standout as its 21st member prior to Rochester’s preseason opener at The Blue Cross Arena.

The Knighthawks will host the Minnesota Swarm at 8:00 p.m. in a preview of opening night. The back-to-back NLL champions will usher in their regular season schedule on Saturday, December 28th versus the Swarm. The contest is a rematch of the 2013 East Division Finals, which the Knighthawks won 12-10 to return to the Champion's Cup Finals. Prior to the game, Rochester will raise its fourth NLL Championship banner.
