By Craig Rybczynski - Rochester Knighthawks forward Stephen Keogh has proven he can score anytime, anyplace. Just ask Chesapeake Bayhawks goalie Kip Turner. Keogh pulled off a between-the-legs, no-look goal on the run last Saturday to excite even the visiting fans.

“It was a nice pass from (Kevin) Cunningham and it was the only option I had from that angle,” said Keogh. “It’s just instinct to be creative and shoot through my legs, and luckily it went in.”

Keogh was named the Major League Lacrosse Warrior Offensive Player of the Week for his performance on June 1st. He scored a career-high five goals in a 12-11 overtime victory over the Chesapeake Bayhawks.

The three-year veteran netted four first-half goals, and one in the third quarter. He capitalized on five of his seven shots for a stellar .714 shooting percentage, where the Player of the Game upped his season shooting percentage to .556. Keogh's handful of goals increased his season total to 10, good for second place on Hamilton's roster.

Keogh joined the Nationals after winning back-to-back NLL Championships with the Rochester Knighthawks. He completed his second season with 13 goals and 11 assists in 12 points. In his career, he has scored 39 goals and chipped in 43 assists for 82 points in 28 games.

Tonight at 8:00 p.m., Keogh and Hamilton will battle the Denver Outlaws in a battle for first place in the MLL. Both teams have started the season with 5-0 records. The game will be broadcast live on YouTube.
