KNIGHTHAWKS CONTINUE TO SPREAD ANTI-BULLYING MESSAGE
02/03/2013 - 1:11am

(February 3, 2013)… Rochester Knighthawks Dan Dawson, Tyler Burton and Joe Walters will carry the team's “We Got Your Back” Anti-Bullying message to Brockport on Tuesday February 5th.

The players will travel to A.D. Oliver Middle School in Brockport to convey their anti-bullying message to 900 students, spanning grades sixth through eighth. The Knighthawks will begin their assembly at 1:10 p.m. at the school located at 40 Allen Street.

The appearances will be the fourth anti-bullying event of the season by the defending NLL Champions. Cosgrove Middle School in Spencerport helped the Knighthawks launch the program, which was created by Ann Marie Leonardi of Hurricanes Lacrosse. Last season, the Knighthawks signed an anti-bullying pledge to kick off their 2012 season.

Following their appearance in Brockport, the Knighthawks will speak to kids from the Southeast YMCA on Monday, February 18th at 10:00 a.m. The players will take the “We Got Your Back” message to Jefferson Rose Elementary in Pittsford to kick off The Southeast YMCA’s week-long February recess program.
