Every week this season, we will take a look back at the Top 5 Plays from the Rochester Knighthawks' weekend action. Fans can vote for their favorite plays from each week and at the end of the season chose the ultimate highlight from 2013. Here are the Top 5 Plays from the Knighthawks' home opener against the Buffalo Bandits on Saturday, Jan. 19.

Craig Point earned a spot in this week's segment with this monster shot. He put every ounce of his 238-pound frame into his windup and fired a laser past Anthony Cosmo, who couldn't even react to the shot until it was in the net.

Defenseman Brad Self raced out of the penalty box to find himself with a breakaway opportunity. After one stick fake to Cosmo's right, he buries a goal past the netminder inches before his foot touches inside the crease. The play was originally ruled a crease violation, but overturned after a successful challenge.

Rochester native Joe Walters got his hometown fans on their feet with this third-quarter goal. After juking out Glen Bryan, Walters goes up top to give his Knighthawks a slim lead.

Not every Top Play candidate has to be a goal. We give a little love to the defense this week thanks to Matt Vinc and Dylan Evans. After a kick-save by Vinc, Evans catches a Bandit with his head down and makes him pay.

Stephen Keogh faked a pick and was wide open in front of the net to receive a behind-the-back pass from Casey Powell before netting a bounce-shot between Cosmo's legs. He finished the game with a hat trick.
