(December 11, 2012)… The Rochester Knighthawks mascot and members of the dance team will join over 100 kids and their families at the Annual CURE Childhood Cancer Association Christmas Party Wednesday night. The festivities kick off at 5:00 p.m. at the School of the Arts at 45 Prince Street.

Knightingales Jenn, Melissa and Rosie will accompany R. Thunder to the party, sign autographs, play Wii games and hand out candy canes. CURE Childhood Cancer Association and the Knighthawks have a long and successful partnership raising funds and awareness for childhood cancer. In 2013, the Knighthawks will hold their annual Teddy Bear Auction and Tip-A-Knighthawk to benefit CURE.

“Every year the kids look forward to seeing the Knighthawks mascot and dance team at the CURE holiday party. The mascot brings lots of energy and fun and, most importantly, smiles to the kids’ faces each year while the dance team always brings a fun craft for the kids to do,” said Brian Wirth, Executive Director, CURE Childhood Cancer Association.

CURE is dedicated to improving the lives of families coping with childhood cancer or chronic blood disorders by providing emotional, educational and financial assistance.
