VINC READY TO GET BACK TO ROCHESTER
12/06/2012 - 5:40pm

(December 6, 2012)... The last time Matt Vinc was standing on The Blue Cross Arena turf, he was raising the Champion's Cup over his head. On Saturday, the veteran goalie will kick off the 2012 preseason as the Knighthawks host the Minnesota Swarm at 8:00 p.m.

Vinc enters his eighth season in the NLL and third with the Knighthawks. The two-time NLL Goalie of the Year is coming off an incredible playoff run. In the 2012 postseason, he recorded 134 saves in only three games. He also notched a 10.67 goals-against average and a .807 save percentage. In the NLL Finals on May 19th, he limited Edmonton to a record-tying low six goals as Rochester rallied for a 9-6 victory.
