KNIGHTHAWKS TO SUPPORT CURE SUNDAY
11/16/2012 - 12:42pm

(November 16, 2012)… The Rochester Knighthawks will enjoy Sunday brunch at the Radisson Hotel Rochester Riverside to support CURE Childhood Cancer Association.

Nearly 500 people will sample a variety of omelets, waffles, pastries, carving stations, pasta and other items all freshly prepared by Rochester’s Top Professional Chefs, who are all members of the American Culinary Federation Professional Chefs/Cooks Association of Rochester.

Doors open at 11:00 a.m. and fans will be greeted by the Knighthawks mascot, R. Thunder. Knighthawks forward Joe Walters will sign autographs at the event from noon to 1:00 p.m. to support a longtime community partner. The Knighthawks have raised over $25,000 for CURE over the past six seasons.

CURE is dedicated to improving the lives of families coping with childhood cancer or chronic blood disorders by providing emotional, educational and financial assistance.

The Knighthawks will kick off Training Camp at Total Sports Experience in Gates, NY in eight days. On Saturday, November 24th, the team will undergo fitness testing from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. with practice slated for 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. The second day of camp is set for Sunday, November 25th from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. All the practices are free and open to the public.

The Knighthawks will play their home opener on Saturday, January 19th against the rival Buffalo Bandits at 7:30 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena. Season tickets are currently on sale at the Knighthawks Office and can be purchased by calling (585) 454-HAWK (4295).
