(November 14, 2012)… The 2012 National Lacrosse League Champion Rochester Knighthawks will “eat fresh” before kicking of their Training Camp on Saturday, November 24th. Knighthawks Joe Walters, Jordan Hall and Matt Vinc will sit down for subs at the Perinton Subway location before signing autographs and greeting fans.
The players will make an appearance at the Subway at 16 Perinton Hills Mall in Fairport from noon to 2:00 p.m. Fans can win tickets and prizes, and take advantage of the special sub promotion. That day, if you buy one footlong sub and a 30-ounce drink, you will receive an additional footlong sub for free.
“I have been a big fan of Subway since I was a little kid. I can remember clearly stopping to pick up a sub after lacrosse/basketball practice and still, to this day, enjoy Subway regularly,” said Walters. “To partner up with the Perinton location and spend time interacting with their customers will be a fun event.”
The Knighthawks have teamed up with the Perinton Subway location for the 2013 season. The team will hold future promotional appearances and launch a special Knighthawks sub in January.
“I have been going to see the Rochester Knighthawks with my dad for many years,” said Shara Fox, the Perinton Subway Manager. “Having the opportunity to work with the Knighthawks is really awesome and having them in the store is even more amazing!”
Fans can meet the players and grab lunch before heading to Total Sports Experience in Gates to watch the Knighthawks open their Training Camp. The team will undergo fitness testing from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. with practice slated for 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. The second day of camp is set for Sunday, November 25th from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. All the practices are free and open to the public.
The Knighthawks will host the Minnesota Swarm in a National Lacrosse League preseason game at The Blue Cross Arena on Saturday, December 8th at 8:00 p.m. FREE Tickets are available online at Knighthawks.com. Fans must have a ticket to enter the game.
