The Rochester Knighthawks are excited to continue their Anti-Bullying Program for the 2014 NLL Season with the support of Isaac Heating and Air Conditioning, and Wellington Steele and Associates. In 2013, the Knighthawks players and staff brought the "We Got Your Back" program to over 3,400 kids.
The Knighthawks originally signed an anti-bullying pledge to kick off their 2012 season. The “We Got Your Back” program, which was founded by Hurricanes Lacrosse, was supported by the players and the entire staff. In October of 2012, the World Champions took the next step by bringing the anti-bullying message to local school children.
The program includes players coming to your school and sharing their personal stories with the students. The presentation features the signs of bullying, how to handle bullying situations, and where to go for help. It is estimated that about 30 percent of students in sixth through 10th grade in the United States are involved in bullying on a regular basis.
All requests for player(s), dance team or staff appearances must be submitted in writing at least two weeks in advance of your event. Approved appearances will receive a confirmation telephone call from a representative from the Knighthawks prior to the event.
